Attic Window sample for workshop september 15

July and August work from students

This huge quilt is one of the first bed quilts made by Tracy. It is machine pieced and machine quilted. it was Tracy's own design.
This is a wall hanging made by Mary and inspired by a book but designed by her own ideas.
This is a pair of cushions made by Linda for her grandchildren twins. The flower was started in a workshop with my flower power workshop.
Susanne has made these three panels and designed it herself. There are pieced and applique sections.
Margaret has made this lovely cushion based on Bargello.
This is another look at the cushion with the same materials but a pineapple design using a foundation piecing method.
Sylvia has made this amazing sampler from Lynne Edwards sampler book. Not an easy item to deal with.
Julie wanted to make a quilt for her sister and used this mix of blocks. They are machine pieced and raw edge applique.
Margaret has made this single bed quilt inspired by my seminole workshop.
Hilary has made this quilt which she found in one of Kaffe Fassett's books. It is really good and Hilary should be proud of it.
This Peggy's quilt which has been designed by her. It was on display at Bovington but hard to see the details the way it was displayed. It is hand made bias binding and totally hand made. There are flowers and butterflys in the red border.
Leanna wanted to try a Sew a row quilt and mixed and matched her blocks to distribute the colours.
Jean has made this quilt for her grandson. he loves bright colours. The quilt is machine pieced and machine quilted.
Linda has made this quilt with some fabrics from Cotton Patch. The quilt design was inspired by the Scrap quilt sensation from Katharine Guerrier. I am sorry the picture could have been better. The quilt is machine quilted.

JUNE - students work

Val has made this lovely baby quilt.
Val has adapted the blocks made in the recent workshop of wonky 9 patch with inserts by adding wonky bands to alternate blocks.
Val has been so busy this is her Christmas boot and I am sure there will be more.
Leza has made a travel bag with the theme of the beach. Great fun.
Estelle has continued with her Australian post card series. estelles applique skills are getting better and better.
Margaret has made this bag at home as she follwed the instructions in class for the following bag.

Margaret has made her bag as do most of my students. It is a basic learning subject with different blocks. Most students then use the bag to come to class.

Mags the artist in one of our classes is passing her painting skills into a material translation. very skillful.
